You can do anything you normally do, but with a coat on  :)

Seriously, it's a good time to get out and about - go to Saklikent Gorge, Tlos etc., without the crowds and hassle. Fethiye is 100% as usual, there are a good selection of bars & restaurants open in Calis.

As my parents live in Fethiye i know a few different things you can do over xmas.
Firstly the quizes at koshem(spelling) on a mon and thurs are absolutley great. There you will meet loads of great people, especially the quiz masters!
Secondly how about a few dinner parties?
Or just go out and about in the car, find some sceinic places to visit or even a secluded area to take in the views etc.
One of my favourite things to do(or was wen i was still there) was go to the harbour front just up from the head statues and visit the cafe with all the brightly coloured bean bags outside. its a great place to eat and chat with friends.
jst a few ideas from the younger generation.

But not swimming!:D

Definatley a good time to get out about and explore, plenty of rental cars doing nothing so cheap car hire can be negotiated.

You could go swimming with a coat on [:o]

Fethiye is great at Christmas time, even though there is no Christmas - no crippling heat, no crowds, everyone has a little more time for everyone else.

Wouldn't you drown if you go swimming with your coat on?  Suppose it depends on how heavy a coat you're wearing!

(that was a joke)

Seriously, I can't wait for the New Year.  Is it best to pre-arrange a hire car before arrival or wait till we get there do you think?
