Benson's Buddies
« on: November 14, 2007, 03:33:07 AM »
I know a couple of weeks ago I said that we had decided to limit ourselves to 3 dogs. But, we were driving into the village last week when an obviously starving and lost pup ran out into the road. We brought him home and gave him several good meals over a few days and he's settled so well with the other 3 that we've just got to keep him.

We've called him Sam and you can see from the pictures just how well he fits in.

He's one of those hoarders you read about [:o]

That dog seems to have halved in size between pic 1 and 2 lol

On a serious note now, just 5 minutes after posting these pictures, Molly the Kangal was shot at by one of neighbours. She was in a field next to our house. The field doesn't belong to the person who shot at her and she was not causing any problem to livestock or chickens.

I rushed her into Kent Vets where she was treated. Fortunately no serious damage has been done despite having about 18 to 20 shotgun pellets, which can be seen on X-rays, now lodged inside her all down her right-hand side. Her size and the fact that she has just grown her winter coat have probably been factors in saving her life.

Needless to say, I'll be make a report to the Jandarma very soon.

The purple marks on the photo are where she's been sprayed with antiseptic.

Scunner,

It's just the angle.

June, Saoirse etc

Sam gets on just fine with Posie the cat. She's shown him who's the boss.
