News alert - there are rumours that a very rare, bright green, giant turtle will be roaming the streets of Calis on Friday night. If you should be lucky enough to spot this 6 ' tall wrinkly reptile please direct him to the Shamrock Irish Bar urgently. The turtle, better known as Calis Carnival's official mascot Tommy Turtle the Carnival Caretta, will be making his debut appearance and shaking flippers with guests at Calis Carnival's "Calis Children in Need Fun Night" hosted by the Shamrock. It should be a really good night with a fun quiz, silly games, killer dart and pool competitions, karaoke and lots, lots more (including an auction of a signed framed photograph of footballer Michael Owen complete with certificate of authenticity). Proceeds will go towards the Carnival charities - helping disadvantaged children in the Calis area.)
