Hi,
we know the CBF was scunners brain child, and we all owe him for that, and I'm sure we don't envy him his job of running it, but a forum is only as good as it's posters, and I don't think they come much better than those we have here, it is a wonderful place to come, long may it, and scunner reign!!  :)

Just to make it clear, I didn't intend the term "two week wonder" to be in anyway derogatory. It was the only tem I could come up with. No offence was intended.

I agree with everyone of the glowing references so far. I'm sure there will be more. :)

Mr H, I'm sure that no offence would be taken any more than we 'residents' taking offence at the expression 'expat'.
The term 'expat' conjures up memories of that wonderful? BBC soap set in Spain with a lot of 'has been' actors and a couple of token Spaniards!

I see this forum much like a virtual magazine, where its readers can dip into and out of articles/postings as they wish. Some read an article because the title is interesting and some because the author merits a read whether for their knowledge, humour, bias or what ever. My impression is that there is a triage of ex pats, owners of apartments still residing in the UK and what John calls TWW, that use CBF. Long may that continue.

I came over for 3 weeks this year. I feel that I don't belong anywhere.

I only joined this forum in May,and I love it. I love the wit and the humour, and also the variety of topics. I joined initially to seek information  on moving to Turkey and found it very helpful, now I log on every night just to see what's being discussed, I even take a sneaky peek at work, Can't help it. It is addictive. Somehow it just helps me feel connected to Calis. Does that sound daft. No don't anybody answer that. Any way keep up the good work Scunner. It's certainly the best forum I have ever been on.
