friends are trying to find an area called something like akarca mahlesi in the calis area as they are going to look at a property around that location for me does anyone know of it? directions from say the dolphin roundabout thanks Ron

Hi Ron,

From Dolphin roundabout head Aquapark way, past hospital, new court & roundabout, straight on to next roundabout, thare is a shop on the left called Calis Market, Akarca Mahalesi is that area, Akarca Sitesi is a complex of houses behind (and directly across the main road) from Calis Market.

My husband lived on Akarca Mah until he lived here in England with me but I am not sure if "Akarca Mah" relates to a specific street or just that area. I will check with him when he gets in from work later and confirm to you.
Anyway, generally speaking its the area behind the Opet garage (if going from the Dolphin roundabout towards Calis take the right hand turn in between Somine Kebap and Opet). There are lots of new villas around there though so not sure how easily they would identify the property if that is the only address info you have?

ha ha you are probably confused now as I have given you completely different directions to Scunner! Probably best to listen to him (although having said that I've just checked my address book from when I used to send letters to hubby and it definitely says Akarca Malhesi??)
Oh God I also think I am talking about a different roundabout too. Ignore me. I haven't been in Calis since September and it shows!

Karen's about right with the Opet Station, that's the Akarca area, I think you confused your roundabouts

If you type in Fethiye and Turkey you can get a really good zoom of both Akarca Mahallesi and the other Akarca Mah Muhtarligi - probably of no use but it keeps me occupied!!!
