Well maybe you should have put it in your suitcase, they may have seen it as a weapon!

As I already pointed out, there were far more suitable 'weapons' in the same bag.

They have a list that they fill in with details of people who were questioned about things in their luggage. They also have one at the main security check as you enter. Anything questioned goes in the book along with your passport number and name. I must be in their list around 6 times over the years, although not for anything actually removed from me apart from this one.

The last one was an iPod speaker, it's a long cylindrical aluminium tube. Having finally explained what it was they were happy with that, and gave it back to me. I still went on the naughty list though :-\

I'm also in that 'special' book !  Mr Pookie decided to pop a swiss army knife in the bottom of the backpack and not tell me !!!  there I was quaking in my boots because I had stashed a bag full of lemons in the bottom and I couldn't work out what the problem was with a bag full of lemons...then they produced this evil looking swiss army knife which I knew nothing about.   Bloody men :D:D

Not many people can say they went on holiday to Turkey, ate good food, drank plenty of Efes, and still lost a stone !
