Will your Home Insurance be invalidated?

I was joking but with a point to it all - if insurance companies are looking for get outs (and they are) is cancelling your papers actually irresponsibly giving information to your newsagent and paper boy - and if your nice paper boy told his not so nice brother or mates, did you cause the break in? I'd say no less than telling your friends on Facebook that you are in Torremolinos - at least you know the people in your facebook list, or as I tell my kids, you should do.
