Sorry my response was a bit crude, but years ago I worked in an A & E x-ray department.  We had an elderly patient who hadn't been for a while & whose stomach was all distended.  We got him on the x-ray table & whoosh- weeks & weeks worth...an absolute nightmare as I'm sure you can imagine!
Your comment "I haven't had a proper one for some time now" brought the memories flooding back - literally
