I think it is also to provide makeshift shelter -[tents??]- if you happen to be unfortunate enough to have your only home deemed inhabitable due to earthquake.

I moved away from Intasure this year for the Buildings and Contents insurance  to a Turkish broker I have used previously, exactly the same Turkish Insurance Company as Intasure were using for me, but I saved over 40% on the Intasure price.:D

We use ergo Insurance and we have all paid around 70 to 80TL per apartment for DASK. They are an ecxellent firm.

As far as I am aware the square meters is all floors added together for the DASK insurance, so 50m2 base triplex would be 150m2 total

If you go to the link I posted on the 11/12/11 you can get a quote and 20% discount direct from TCIP and if you have a policy enter the number and see if your on the list[?] you do not need an agent, the links are on the right side of the page and in English, failing that use the phone number top right. ;)
