Hi all, I'm on the cadge (is that a word?) again and after some advice based on your experiences. We are coming "home" again in May and need to change our light fitments in our apartment. Any advice on best place, cheapest place to go and will they fit also? Thanks as always..... Rob

The best place we have found  is Fethiye Lighting centre at Karachula, thousands to choose from you can fit them yourself in 3 mins just 2 wires and a hook.

We went to the lighting shop just before you get to Aydem.  We needed another light for our shower room.  We picked the light fitting which was £9.00 with bulbs and guy asked us were we lived. We told him and he said he would be around in one hour.  In one hour two electricians arrived and fitted the light fitting. They had to drill through a wall to find the electric cable and then fit the light.  No extra charge for fitting:D ;) :o

Agree with Mark - the place he mentions should also be a local tourist attraction - where else can you get 2000 different light fittings into a telephone box? The place is amazing, a Tardis of illuminatories - and definitely the cheapest. I used to take customers there all the time.

Perhaps a more detailed directions would be helpful, where is Karachula.
Cheers

Go on the Antalya road as far as it goes. That is Karachula. Bear left over the bridge there is a mosque on the right. There is a roundabout take the second turning left off it and follow the little road round. The lighting centre is signposted. Unfortunatley all the roads are up around there so turning left etc is a problem. If you have any problems with fitting your lights Bayram of this forum is a great electrician.

Fethiye Light Centre will fit them for 7tl per light (don't quote me on that), that's what they charged me last year in any way.  :)
