Nipped down to Dalyan for the 1st time, nice place.
Found Turtle beach & it happened to be our lucky day. The marine biologist in charge of the centre (Miriam?) was there, she welcomed us with a warm smile & spent nearly an hour explaining everything about the turtles (speaking perfect English as she was brought up in the UK) & graciously allowed us to watch whilst a new patient was brought in for treatment. Watching 4 staff handle a 45kg turtle was amazing, the care very obvious, thanks to all concerned in the rehab of these animals, long may your work continue.
Sarigerme: I stayed there in Oct 2010, nothing much changed except the main street was closed
with not 1 restaurant open, shame these places are forced to do this, winter doesn't mean hibernation to some of us intrepid travellers lol. The beach was clean compared to some I've been on recently, the grounds leading down just as tidy, nice place.
Went the "scenic" route back to Calis, a quick sunset at Gunluklu beach then an update on the upside down bridge to finish
