I am looking to change my exsisting mosquito screens from 'open out' to 'sliding' ones. The screens I have now are in good condition so want to use these. I have had a quote but they wanted to give us new ones (of course).

If anyone could recommend a tradesman who could fit the sliding mechanism only, that would be great. Many thanks.

Hi Jan, Yes he came to quote but wanted to make us new ones which we don't need at 180lira each. Perhaps we'll ask him again just for the frame. Wanted a second quote though to see if we could get a better price. Teresa x

Be carefull with sliding screens , they are a bit tricky. Be sure they will attach proper brushes to the gaps at the vertical sides. Any tiny opening and the money you pay is wasted. I would suggest that you ask them to show examples or start with only one window/door first before taking down all the others.
