hi all, I need replacement batteries for my cordless drill and the usa is the cheapest to purchase from.So im working out the cost,
 I need to know if im liable for import duty and how much?
and has anyone ordered from the us and suffered any problems

There's a good chance that you'll end up paying more duty than the batteries are actually worth. Weigh-up whether it's really necessary and economical to buy new batteries or whether you'd be better off buying a new cordless drill in Turkey.

If you are really set on going for the US option, think about having them delivered to a UK address and then getting someone to bring them out to you in their luggage.
