A friend of ours was attacked last night, she was left with a badly bruised and cut arm also had personal stuff taken, we found her crying this morning as she had no response from the police as they didnt speak any English.
The incident happened close Club E, there were two young men who jumped her from behind and wrenched her handbag after a brave struggle, she lost her money(5ytl) camera, cards etc also her residency book.

I post this as a warning to everyone to be on their guard:(

Brenda is sensible and has known there have been attacks before. I am sure she will be careful John.

Poor woman, how distressing. I was tailed on the night of Carnival myself having to walk to Sat to collect my car. A guy was close behind me and kept trying to talk. I told him I didn't want to talk but he persisted until I told him in no uncertain terms to "..... off". Luckily I was level with the Cadir by then and it was busy and had good lighting. The rest of the way to Sat was in nigh total darkness and I had to keep looking back over my shoulder. It's certainly time to be vigilant -it is the season for chancer's in resort looking for rich pickings - women need to travel or walk with a friend. I hope your friend recovers from the incident speedily

Trouble is if these bas**rds tried it on with their own kind they'd be shot! Makes you wonder how these idiots are brought up and what they are taught!
I hope he gets caught soon and the lady in question is ok.

How distressing for the lady! I hope she is OK.

I hope ladies remember to use the same sort of caution that they would in their own country when contemplating walking alone at night or in quiet areas at dusk. It's easy to forget that this sort of scum live all over the world!
