Cost of gas bottle
« on: August 10, 2012, 16:27:01 PM »
I was pleasantly suprised earlier this week. My last gas bottle, bought March 2011 was 70tl, this week only 60tl   :) Both were bought from the same place & delivered & fitted in double quick time once they got around to answering the phone

I think the price for a gas bottle has gone down.

The price of gas bottles goes up and down depending on the cost of petrol. Ten years ago it used to cost about 20-25TL and I will swear that a bottle then lasted a lot longer than it does now.

It did Nic.  We have always marked on our calender when we thought gas bottle has to be replaced.  When we moved here it was roughly every 3 months now it's down to maybe 9-10 weeks.  Hey ho.

Our bottle is 5 years old now.
Sadly It will probably rust before we finish it

We used to buy 2-3 per year, then it increased to every 3 then every 2 months. I's clear that some time of the year we use the gas more often than other times but on average I am fairly certain that they run out far more quickly than they ever used to.

A friend of mine who lives in Fethiye but moves to Ovacık for the summer claimed her bottles there lasted less time than the ones she bought in Fethiye.
