Writing a Turkish will
« on: September 04, 2012, 20:07:49 PM »
Sorry Scunner, I have tried searching the forum as this topic must have been raised many, many times.

Anyway, friends of ours have had a big problem because they didn't have a will, so we will be getting one when we're over in a couple of weeks.

All, any advice on do's and dont's, where to get it done etc, etc.........

Thanks to all in advance of their responses.

PS - your advice will not be legally binding    :) .......... Rob

One of the links above tells the story of a couple who paid good money to have a will drawn up by Everything Legal in Fethiye to cover ownership of their property in Turkey in the event of the death of one of them. I think it is now 5 years since the husband sadly passed away and the legal wrangling continues. The will turned out to be absolutely useless.
