Property Insurance - Intasure
« on: October 25, 2012, 13:08:31 PM »
Just had my renewal notice from Intasure for our apartment - it has gone up from £191 to £235. We have been insured with them for 3 years now and never had a claim so will be interested to find out from them why it has gone up so much. Does anyone know if the banks in Turkey do house and contents insurance?

Quick update - rang them and they have reduced it to £208 but no explanation as to why I was quoted £235 in the first place. I think they inflate the original  quote deliberately so that if you query it they can reduce it and you end up thinking you have got a good deal

We have had our property insured with HSBC in Fethiye for the last 3 years, we e-mail them or visit branch they speak english and are very helpful, I did get a quote from Intasure and they were twice as expensive.

With Intasure we seem to pay double those insuring their properties in Turkey - but Public Liability is included. We did have to declare that we arent resident in Turkey though so presume it isnt available to expats?
