Compulsery Pool Rules ?
« on: November 13, 2012, 05:59:46 AM »
Would anyone know if it is a compulsery  regulation to have sighns put up by the pool with  pool rules on.I know it makes sense to have one but want to know if it is the law to have one. This would be on a small complex of 21 houses. Thanks.

I know that a UK travel insurance company asked for a photograph proving that pool rules were on show when one guest slipped at the poolside and claimed for injuries to a fractured wrist.  I guess if guests aren't warned against dangers (ie diving, running etc) the insurance company could try and wriggle out of the claim and liability could fall on the owner of the property/complex  : :)

We have them up in our villa that has a private pool. Our management company insisted on it for our insurance.

We have them displayed also in Turkish and English.  It helps during the school holidays etc when the children of the area decide that it is a public pool and turn up with their packed lunches for their day out.  We point to the rules and send them on their way!
