I bet they'll find a way of charging you 250% import duty.   ;)

Seriously though, I think you're wasting your money bringing that sort of stuff out. You'll find 99% of what you need in Turkey.

There are different qualities of this here in Turkey. Have looked at lots and certainly some are cheaper quality than others. Is there a standard in the UK that you could try and ask for in Turkey? You must have a head start on most of us here if you are in the business, so to speak! Certainly there are standards for some things here, ceramics, taps, and maybe others? Sure you will be charged tax though on import from the UK, if available here, I can understand that.

I bought lockable window handles, lockable patio door handles and night vents out with me from the UK. Far better quality and no problem fitting them. If you leave the internal doors open the night vents solve a lot of the condensation/damp problems. Paul, on your next visit you could call around the window manufactures on the industrial estates in Fethiye and see what profiles and units they are using and perhaps just bring your own fittings out in your luggage.
