Rearranging flights

I have flights booked with monarch for 19th sept to 7th oct from LGW but my mother has been admitted to hospital and not looking as though she is going to recover I am going to have to cancel flights, does anyone know if you can rearrange flights but it wouldn't be until 2014

Monarch charge £70 for each return passenger, all people on the booking have to be done and you have to pay any difference in the flight cost, of course you do not get a refund if the new flight is cheaper.
Is it possible to claim off your insurance or credit card.

Insurance route would by my way of dealing with this, You should get a full refund (less the excess) I think.

Much to are surprise and after the hospital putting her on antibiotic drip and getting her on the oxygen machine she is a lot better and hopefully being discharged over the weekend and will have carers going in twice a day plus a couple of family members calling in, so hopefully we will still be going next Thursday
