2nd introduction
« on: May 13, 2014, 12:49:37 PM »
Hello everyone
I joined some time ago and made an introduction but it seems that I have been registered as a newbie!
Coming over next week for our second time at Dr Johns and also to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary  :o
Just like to say that this forum has been so useful in deciding where to go and what places to eat so thanks everyone and hopefully see a few of you at the Mozaic for the taster day on 31st May.
Ta

TWD, I doubt that you have been re-registered but, with only a dozens posts, I guess you are still recorded as "new"-ish. Anyway, even though you haven't been away, welcome back!

You stay being a newbie for some time, not just for a few posts.  Not sure how you gain status but sure one of the old hands can tell you how it works. Anyway welcome on board   :)

There are different titles and they all depend on how many posts you have made. Not scientific or ideal but it's the best option we have. We could scrap them altogether but it does allow people to know who talks to much and who maybe should be given a little bit of slack because they haven't been around that long. Doesn't always work out that way mind you.

It's not all about titles, each title is a profile on the forum - meaning that as you progress up the title list, you could access more forums and on CBF specifically, see less adverts. Guests see loads, then they lessen as you join, move up from newbie (which from memory might be when you have made 50 posts but I'll check).
