I'm stuck !!
-
1. Panic - The Smiths
-
4. Where do you go to my lovely - Peter Starstedt.
7 You got your troubles - The Hollies
-
Scunner that's a thumbs up
Highlander - right on one and only 50% on the second
-
15 One of us - Abba (I had to sing the whole song before I came up with the title though)
-
Dutchie - very good that was at the tough end, as it is one of Abba's lesser known songs, but still a great one
BTW Keith I pitched The Smiths for you in terms of decade, looks like I got a hit!
Now any more please .. cos I have to bu**of to bed some time soon:D:D
-
It was a big hit in the Netherlands so definitely not a lesser known song for us.
-
7. The Fortunes-----You've got your troubles
14. Freda Paine----Band of gold
-
Well done Baz, two in the bag for you....
Just over two hours and so far only a third of the intros have been identified.... if it goes on much longer I'll have to start giving out clues
Any wild guesses anyone?
Surprised no one has got 3 or 11, they practically SHOUT OUT at you ;)
-
4..where do you go to my lovely
10..I second that emotion
14..Band of gold
3..Groovy kind of love..
really struggling with the others :(

Slikmrs, 4, 10 and 14 ... Correct!!! [^][^]
As to 3 'Our survey says ............ AH AH :D:D
-
3 Heinz - Just like Eddie
5 Real thing - you to me are everything ?
11 The Band - The weight
-
OK it looks like I should start to put some clues out there: :)
3 A food man who came out of a tornado - and if you don't get that!!
13 I'm surprised that Highlander hasn't gone the extra 500 miles to get the answer to this one
5 Old Kipper seen on the band on the run thinks it might take an act of god
Pretty good clues, I've surprised myself, perhaps I should be setting crosswords rather than musical intros[^]
-
Well done Badger 2 out of 3
3 - without the aid of the clue even :)
11 - One of the great tracks from the Easy Rider soundtrack, but Smith (no not the Smiths) covered the song for the LP, due to some contractual issue. If you haven't got this LP in your record collection, you don't know what yer missing
The Real Thing, sorry Badge but your miles off with the singer, and a decade away from the real thing .. see the clue :)

H I'm glad it's you, I'm now clocking off, but if Scunner wanders by tell him I've gone off to my pit for the night, but I'll be back on duty tomorrow:D:D

Here I am trying to demonstrate that the music on this thread can show the younger generation a thing or two, and along comes 'OLD' Des with the name of an artist that is neither hip, trendy or contemporary relevant 8), and would have been in good company with my father, its enough to make a stronger man weep ;) ;)
Anyway sorry Des but that is an incorrect answer ..
-
Hey no need to shout at me Pete, only put the answer on to get a few smileys, and it worked eh, ;) ;) ;) :) :)
