Hope this is the correct section for this query.
We have booked to go to Istanbul next Monday (yes I know, at this time of year, we are crazy!) and our camera is really playing up. Does anybody know where we can have it repaired as we would really like to get some good pictures of Istanbul. Thanks in advance.

As you walk down to the Galata bridge from Sultanahmet (or get the tram) on the left hand side just before the big junction before the bridge you will see a MacDonalds. In the streets around and behind there is where all the camera and camera repair shops are.
If you Google search for your make of camera and service centres in Turkey you will probably be able to find an address and phone number for the authorized service centre for your camera.
If you have time you could phone them and cargo the camera in advance and let them know you will collect.
Normally they check to see what is wrong, you will almost certainly have to then contact them again to see what is wrong and how much it will cost (which will be considerably cheaper than what you will pay in the UK) and if you agree and send them the money they will do the work and return it to you by cargo unless you arrange to collect.

Thanks Nichola, was hoping to find a service centre in Fethiye but will take to Istanbul if all else fails. There is a Sony shop in Tuzla showing on the store locator so have emailed them and await their reply. :)
