Title: IOS 6.1 and Numark IDJ Live Controller

A bit of a long shot this one. I've been asked to play some music at the next Animal Aid get together, I have spent several days arranging playlists and building a few music mixes, then tonight, I thought that I would reacquaint myself with my Numark IDJ Live controller that I link to the djay app on my Ipad.

To my dismay, I couldn't get the controller to work, after some searching on the Internet it seems that the latest IOS 6 download has rendered this hardware incompatible. I wouldn't mind but my IDJ Live unit is only a year old.

I've been unable to locate a 'fix' and wondered if anyone else has has overcome a similar problem ?

iOS 6 has a lot to answer for!
I've had to reinstall several apps, including filmon, couldn't upload photos via tapatalk as it changed the privacy settings, and opening anything in iBooks takes several attempts and is so slow.
My wifi connection cuts out repeatedly now too.
And no way of rolling back o previous iOS.
Hope you get it sorted, I'm guessing you've googled the usual teccy forums etc?

Thanks for your help. I've tried the workaround solution and even though it seems a bit hit and miss, I have been able to get the unit working, so fingers crossed!

If there's a few 'pregnant pauses' in the music next week, at least I'll have a good excuse.

Don't worry George, we can always get Andy Sings to fill in the gaps :D, I really just hope he doesn't have to  ;)

I refuse to update my iPhone 4 to ios 6.

It does nothing for my phone and has caused untold problems for hundreds if iPhone 4 users.

Works fine on my mini iPad though.

Always wait at least a month before updating iOS software. Check on the apple forum first to see what problems exist with it. Usually there are lots!

My God, is he that bad? I noticed he added a Karaoke to the evenings entertainment. God help us !

6.1.2 out now. It's supposed to fix the bugs in 6.1 We'll see      :)
