Advice on new printer
« on: April 24, 2014, 14:59:41 PM »
Hi, any recommendations for a new printer, to print from hp laptop and ipad/air.  Cost of inks a consideration but not looking for the cheapest printer, just the best!  Need it mainly for photograph reproduction and the occasional document.  I have looked in the local Currys/PC World, but there are so many to choose from and I am sure they push the ones with the most commission. I know there are many knowledgeable people out there, so suggestions please.  :-\

My epson XP-202 is wireless. Prints well and Tesco equivalent cartridges are about £3.50 each  :)

I have a Canon Printer and the ink in the printer lasted for ages, however, the problem is, the printer will not recognise any other ink cartridges but Canon ones.  If you put in a cheaper one, it just stops working and tells you that the ink is out.

I'm with stoop - after a stupid purchase of a Lexmark printer (great printer, ink like liquid gold) I bought an Epson wifi one. I get 5 sets of inks for less than a tenner on eBay I think.
