Whatever musical genre you favour, there's always the odd song that crops up that we like for inexplicable reasons; but do we need a reason ?, I guess a good song is a good song period.
Here's one of mine a one hit wonder from the blistering summer of 1976 (I think the memories of that summer may be a factor); The Starland Vocal Band - Afternoon Delight. 8)

If you are referring to the "risque" lyrics ?, mmmm.... maybe ;), but I was thinking more of cruising around in a vest on my first motorcycle (not safe I know !), in the lovely sunshine of that year ! 8)

Two more......
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmtzQCSh6xk I like the naffness of the tune, but Gary Brolsma miming, just is the icing on the cake (made him famous, not that he wanted it).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jamIFUbOsjg OK, confession, I was looking up 'Backstreet Boys', and found these chaps doing brilliant mimes to them. In amongst all that was this, and I just LOVE the song.

Love the Sax solo in Hazel O Connors "Will You"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuPrrdRzlxc Quote from Wikipedia ""Shipbuilding" is a song written by Elvis Costello (lyrics) and Clive Langer (music). Written during the Falklands War of 1982, Costello's lyrics discuss the contradiction of the war bringing back prosperity to traditional shipbuilding areas of Merseyside (Cammell Laird), North East England (Swan Hunter) and Belfast (Harland and Wolff)[1] to build new ships to replace those being sunk in the war, whilst also sending off the sons of these areas to fight and, potentially, lose their lives in those same ships."
Chet Baker plays the mournful, lonely trumpet solo on this ballad. It is rumored to be Baker's last recorded performance.
