I am not the most observant person on the planet but did notice some time back that a lot of local shops were displaying recepticals for used batteries to be recycled safely. Sooo yesterday I went off to the shops with a big bag of old batteries I had been collecting for ages intending to do my bit for the environment and there are no bins in any of my local shops [?] When I asked in several establishments I was told the bins were full and hadnt been emptied
!! My handbag is now considerably heavier until the bins become available again or I get fed up and put them with the usual rubbish.
