not sure about daily accounts but monthly interest accounts have dropped to around 18% mark and government bonds are at around 14.5

What is the best way to transfer money to Fethiye?

We are coming over in May to pay the outstanding amount on our new apartment, and to furnish the place. We have an account opened last August with the Garanti Bank.

Is it best to transfer the money from an English account electronically?

Is it best to transfer sterling to Turkish Lira for a better interest rate?

Transfer your money in sterling to your own account here. Do not use english banks to change it to lira the rate in the UK is awful.

Thanks for the replies. I'll transfer it to Fethiye to the GBP account, then transfer it internally with Garanti Bank to Lira.

Thanks.

The homepage for Garantibank (www.garantibank.com)shows the current Rate of Exchange (£, US$, or Euro to YTL) and also the current rate of interest for Repo acounts.  This area of the screen is updated at least daily.
Is this of use to anyone?
