we have both turkish and sterling accounts with finansbank with bank debit cards and tranfer monies from our british abbey accounts we do get charged aout £25 here and about £40 in turkey by swift transfer  we can use our turkish cards here in england using nationwide is transfer free hope this info helps

Thanks for replies.
So still got to use swift codes then, oh well.
At least if I get internet banking sorted it will save me(I hope)of moving sterling to Turkish account to pay bills  LOL
Thanks again, soon I will be there again, so I will be able to pop into the bank.
