Always takes something away from a tournament when the hosts drop out early so from that point of view it is a shame the England haven't got through. Who, or what system, decided to put three top eight teams in the same group (ranked 2,3 and 4 at the start of the World Cup) plus Fiji who were ranked 9?

If Scotland do well against Samoa, which they should, then they'll be through alongside Wales and Ireland to represent the home nations..

Ooohps I got that wrong, I thought this post was about Brian Moore and Jimmy Hill's Big Match from the 60/70s not about peanut hugging and egg chasing : :) : :)  ;)

Two girls with not such big smiles today.

Daughter #2 and Granddaughter #2. My daughter says she will now be rediscovering the
Welsh side of her heritage and the little one will be siding with her father's team, Ireland.

Were they Light Heavyweights? I don't follow boxing very much.

I must admit I am not really a rugby fan. I know most of the rules (I think) but am no expert.

But I thought Australia would quite obviously beat England and that England would be out.

Why did it come as such a shock to those who claim to know their sport?

Jimmy Hill was more of a lightweight.
