Hi, does anyone know if I'm able to change my account online from my standard 30 day account to either the egg or double egg Monday account?  Thanks

Perhaps you should take up employment with them Tinks because I sat in there with a lot of dissatisfied people on Friday with a whole bunch of gripes. I am with George on this. I've moved most of my money out but was going to open a 50 day account with what little is left which is still quite a bit and only because it is convenient for me but...

1. after they didn't know why I was there after they had rung me twice to come in

2. after I had waited an hour despite getting there at just a few minutes past 9am when I was finally seen, some woman turned up and both the women staff who were dealing with non Turks got up, left us sitting there while they spent a good 15minutes kissing each other and gossiping.

3. after they didn't mention the 50 day account...

I was not a happy customer at all.

And one of their customers who didn't know about the double egg account despite having a lot of money in a daily account earning no interest and after I had told her about it she opened one but was told the interest rate was only 5%.

I saw her afterwards and believe that she will also be joining me at Şeker bank... as will the rest of my money.

Us too, after 9 years and progressively longer and longer queuing whilst the staff seem to always be on the phone in front of us, we closed all our accounts and moved our money to Garanti Bank -  (toss up between Seker Bank too). We are happy to forego a little extra interest for a bit of courtesy!

I got 12.5 a couple of weeks ago for 49 days. However last Monday 10.5 was the best they could offer as apparently rates dropped, although I'm sure I saw rates stayed the same.
I wasn't happy last week either, rang as it was interest day and was asked to go in. Sat & waited ages only to be told they would just continue the account I had.
No signature needed, could have arranged over the phone
Emine is on maternity leave and no one covering for her.

We were asked to sign the new banking agreement, as with everything in Turkish banks about 40 pages, each requiring a signature. What am I signing I enquired, it's the new bank account agreement was the answer, the original one you signed has been updated, what's changed I asked, don't know was the reply !

Best rate on offer today was 11.25% if you kept your money in for 1 year.

We had to do the same George, I don't think much has changed but the Company HQ now demand everything on their computers is backed up by paperwork for some stupid reason, not sure if it's a Finans policy or demanded by the government.
