diamond hotel-
« on: August 28, 2010, 16:12:54 PM »
:(My sister in law and family stayed here and although the apartments were lovely, very clean and spacious, - the 'chair' that 'thinks' he runs the hotel  made them and us feel very unwelcome.

On the 2nd day of my sister in law n co arriving we went over to greet them, they opened up a bottle of efes and we stood by their balcony area drinking for oo maybe 2 mins ,in this short time a bald headed guy came rushing over and pointed to a sign saying no glass by the pool can we please drink from plastic glasses.
Which we duly did.(efes not quite the same in a  plastic blue beaker)[xx(]
He then spent the next 20 mins watching us and tutting at the children; jumping in the pool and making us all feel very unwelcome.

The next day my sister in law received a letter from bald guy asking them to shower before entering the pool.
(They had been apart from the children who had showered in the morning)

A few days later 'bald guy' lit a bbq and left it unattended for well over half an hour next to the children's pool area.
-no warning it was lit. It was only when one of the little ones splashed the bbq they  realised it was hot! :o

the pool was quite cloudy and the filtration/chemicals were not up to the standard you expect in turkey.
so apart from the guy who calls himself 'the chair':(..a great place!!!!!!!  ;)

Hi Siemli
I would just like point out to you that Diamond is not a Hotel
but all privately owned apartments. And the person you insult ( the bald guy) does not run the place, but is the chairman of the Owners
Assocation. And people visiting who are not paying to stay on the complex should not use the facilitys i.e the pool etc.
Tony.

Why?

If I rented an apartment there and my friends came to visit with their kids I certainly wouldn't think that their kids wouldn't be allowed to join mine in the pool! And letter writing, is that really necessary?

Extract from Sumnmer Apartment Rules

SECURITY
Do not allow people from outside onto the complex to use the pool, etc. if you are not going to be there yourself. Please report any suspicious situations to the caretaker/security.

And we were fully aware of the rules when we booked.

But you were aware of rules that were different to those stated above for this complex. What point are you making John?

I was merely pointing out that Summer Apartments had rules of which we were aware before we went.

Obviously, I don't know if Diamond have written rules which they sent out to prospective renters ahead of their holiday.

It is interseting the "attitude" of residents towards us "two weekers".

There seems to be a certain resentment that you are using "their facilities" and shouldn't really be there.
