Wow, the end of an era
We too were regulars at the hotel.
Its faults were part of its Turkish charm. Us Brits love something to moan about, and in the infinity bar, the setting was perfect for this.
We ate many times at the hotel this year. Its Turkish menu was particularly good.
We wish Aleef and staff well for the future.
Good luck to the new managers.
Not to sure about Italian and Mexican food in Turkey. But if its what people want

Ohh what a surprise to see this post I often read through the forum as Calis Beach will always be in my heart as one of the best places outside the UK.
Although I browse the forum as a " non visitor to Calis " of late I cannot offer the helpful post's always seen here so don't feel qualified to post.I was an expert on the subject of the Letoon and the Management of the Bilginer family and I am so pleased to see Bora and Yamac are back running the place we spent so many happy time's with them in the early 90's at the Letoon. It was so lovely there I know they will be able to revive it and wish them well. I am glad they have come home!
My best wishes to you and your family's I only hope my circumstances will allow me to visit would love to see you all and spend a holiday in the Letoon again. Very best of luck for 2012  8) :)

Forgive me but that doesn't look like a cake exactly to me. More like a dozen salads with a cake plonked atop.

looking forward to seeing the changes to Letoon I stayed there last September and it was shambolic but I still had a great holiday room was clean enough I slept well I just didnt eat or drink there, but I would give it another chance, I hope they kept the cleaning lady that was there she never stopped bless her all by herself to clean all those chalets felt really sorry for her lugging her trolley along with two of the four tyres flat and it was loaded with bedding & towels.Alif was very welcoming but the rest of the staff I thought let him down badly, breakfast most mornings was none exsistant or arrived nearer midday.I wish the new managment all the very best and will certainly pay it a visit in july for a look around with a view to booking for later.
