It is being built on a swamp, the other side of Sunset beach from where the 5 star hotel is going. Construction is in progress now.

If its the place i think it is then you wont be getting married there in june this year.
We walked past it while we were there between christmas and New Year and there is a bit of concrete work already done but as others have said it is very low lying and most of the site was only just above the stagnent water around the site that is already turning green so what it will be like in the summer i hate to think.
I have no dought that when its finished it will be great when the surrounding land is built back up but right now yuck.
Good luck with the wedding plans.

I don't think so! Does this look like a black mozzy infested swamp to you?

Cant believe I hadnt heard this place was being built (Im a nosey so & so )as we have place in Sunset right next door, knew about the plans for the hotel on the other side alright. Only thing I can say at least if & when its finished it will have to improve the walk back to Sunset & Koca Calis at night should leave the road better lit but cant see that being for this year.
Keep the photos coming so we can see the progress.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the info you have kindly provided. Although I love the idea of Jiva beach I can't find anyone to confirm it will definitley be finished in time for us!! Jacquie, thanks for the suggestion of the Delta what an amazing hotel I love it and was just about to book it when I realised it didn't have a pool...what a shame but as i'm a bit nervous about the sea a pool is essential!!

Therefore, i'm asking you guys to help once again. We really want to come to Calis, can anyone suggest a preferably beachfront hotel with a pool, bed and breakfast might be possibility as you have all convinced me that AI is not neccessary in Calis. or we would consider a beachfront self catering with a pool. I'd appreciate some quick help with this as the wedding is getting closer and we still don't have a honeymoon booked!!

Thanks in advance x
