I must have changed in those few years. That davey wouldn't have made it past page 1 today. I often find myself reading old topics that are very amusing - I sometimes think to bump them so newer members can also enjoy them, but perhaps you had to be there etc...  :)

I well remember being roundly "slaughtered" for a thread entitled "Look whose coming to Dinner"

Fortunately the replies are no longer available.

I say Jeeves looks absolutely spiffing!

Last year our Chef ran off with the Parlourmaid and
the crew on the yacht mutinied! I will never look at a yardarm again without seeing the bodied of those emaciated sailors hanging from it!

Sigh, I wonder what the poor folks are doing???

Before I came to live here I would often arrange a group holiday on a Gulet Blue Bays tour with close friends, around the same money and well worth the price and Yes sometimes tempered frayed But we had fab times overall, no friendships lost

Did a few charter or mixed group tours too, some fab lovely people, and some people thought they had paid for a cruise and were a pain for complaining

The worse were the couple who came with a group of 8. thought they knew all about Turkey and spent the whole cruise complaining that they cant eat anything cooked in tomatoes, they were also veggies and they didnt like salad! They asked if they could be served veggie burgers and soya sausages Not available here, so they spent 2 weeks eating crisps and refused everything the cook tried to make for them
They screamed when we caught fish  The captain and cook had a bad time

Should have keel hauled them, always worked
for Cap'n Flint!

OOOhhh Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Must say we quite fancy the idea of a few days on a Gulet,
can we bring our own breadfruit plants? Anyone know directions to Pitcairn Island??
