Monarch are so expensive this year from the north. Mind you so are all the others too.
Just tried to book 31/05 to 05/07 and they want £753 for the two of us. Half term the week after is £850!
We can go to Thailand for £900!
Even 24/05 to 05/07 is £595.
No cheap deals this year.
Thank god for my Tesco vouchers and my top cash back money.

The best I've found is Jet 2 with excellent flight times from Stanstead but I think they fly more from your way Stoop?

Booked with monarch from birmingham in november 23 aug to 6 sept good flight times allocated seats both ways and exTra luggage alowance £720 for 2 persons ,this is roughly what we always pay ,perhaps booking early helps but i know waiting till last minute with monarch the prices go through the roof

I also checked Gatwick and the same dates were £720. Seems they must be cutting capacity and ramping up the prices.

Our monarch Gatwick flights flying out on June 1 st which we booked in September have jumped up a massive £285 total more when I checked today .
BA from Gatwick were £165 total less than todays monarch prices , looks like monarch are upping prices lots more

We got return flights in school holidays up here from Edinburgh for £192 each (but I was on it within seconds of the flights being released). That's pretty good for Edinburgh. Today it is over £400 each for exactly the same flights (I would drive to Manchester rather than pay that).
Not forgetting they are getting sweetener payments from Turkey to improve numbers coming to holiday.

GoToGate is showing availability for those dates at £172pp MAN direct to DLM and return.

LGW - DLM - LGW for those dates are £137pp return for those dates on GoToGate.

They are certainly not doing anything to encourage visitors with those prices are they?

I booked before Christmas for May 12th 11 nights from Lgw with monarch, £410 for both us flights and 2 cases and 11 nights at Kaan hotel BB and recently booked 10 nights in September at the Kaan again flying with monarch with 2 cases and paid just over £500 for both us flights&hotel, booked through Sunshine

It was announced that Monarch flights for 2017 were out either on here or FB at the start of July 2016. I booked 6th May 2017 for £162.77 and for Sept 5th for £211 ;D. I do get family discount but that only accounts for around £30 per flight.
The flight I took last Friday to Antalya cost £205 with TC.

LGW - DLM - LGW for those dates are £137pp return for those dates on GoToGate.
Just checked with Gatwick and its £159 plus bags plus seats = £261pp. Add to that 5 weeks parking or train tickets and it won't work out much cheaper than flying from Leeds and getting a lift for us (we live in York). It's also with the dreaded FTCook :(
Leeds is actually working our a lot dearer as they add a mind boggling £78 for a 20kg case and £29 for a seat both ways.£436pp :(
We can get cheap flights if we dont take luggage or book seats but for five weeks that's a no no.

Monarch from Luton 26/8 to 9/9 £492 for 3 of us which I thought was a great price.

I know it is not Turkey flights but we got flights from Edinburgh to Paphos Cyprus 21/05/17 return for £177 each, that'll do nicely. First time not in ?Turkey for 11 years.

we have to come in school holidays ( august) and ideally from newcastle or Leeds, currently cheapest is TC about £1300 for 4 of us but really horrible flight times. Jet2 and Monarch are over £1600. keep hoping they will drop in price. even Edinburgh is £1300. spoilt last year as got flights in aug from Edinburgh for £800 for all of us :)

just booked Luton to Dalaman 20/5 - 27/5 for £144 each inc 20kgs. Birmingham was almost £300 each.
