Title: Notify Function
Post by: Colwyn on March 05, 2013, 13:29:49 PM
This has not been working for me for a couple of weeks. Have I mucked up my settings or is it a system problem? I'll click "Notify" for this post.

Mine arrived but they went to my spam folder automatically. Have you checked your spam folder?

I have tested my CBF email and it isn't working. But when I checked that I had written it correctly by cut-n-paste and sending it via alternative email provider it worked fine.

It has to be either related to your settings on the forum (I've looked and it doesn't appear to be the case) or it being blocked on your mail servers as it is working for me and it would not normally work for one person and not another.

Keith, have you seen any admin settings that suggest limiting mail to certain users only?

No and as far as I know, no settings have been changed and members who have had problems have previously sent and received PMs without issue?

I have traced the problem. My email provider is Virgin so mail goes there first and is then forwarded on to my Windows Mail account (the one I use daily). Richard Branson has been shoving all Calis Beach mail into Spam so it never gets to me. Apologies for wasting CBF time. Could someone give a short reply to this post - "Sod off" comes to mind - so I can test if function is now working.

Thanks Steve. Very literal. Sorted.

P.S. I now find that the swine Branson has also failed to pass on scores of messages from Russian girls who are panting to meet me.
