I went up today to get a repeat prescription and met the new Dr, his name is Dr Ayhan Gunden. Very nice man and maybe more importantly speaks excellent English. xx
-
Thanks Denise. I shall still practıce my Turkısh on him though.
-
Let's hope he can practise his doctoring on you then! :)
-
hi would you be so kind as to let me know where this is please and is it open to anybody or do you need to register
-
You need to have SGK and regıster wıth him. He is employed by the government.
-
Are you sure you have to be in SGK to register as we took our neighbours to register at our clinic in Akarca (next to mosque) and they had RP but were not in SGK and they were accepted without any problem and they said there would be no charge for appointments.
-
I'm not sure what the exact requirements are for registering with the doctor, we registered as part of the process for our Turkish Driving Licenses and then joined SGK back in 2011 and have been using the family clinic since then for my repeat prescriptions. I'm not sure if you have to have SGK but I think you do need to have a resident permit.
The clinic is in Ciftlik, if you travel through the main road and then take the first right just opposite the chemist, and follow the road up, it is the building after the school. Hope this helps.

If you dont have SGK you wıll probably have to pay. When I am up that way agaın I wıll ask for you.

I fınally found time to go and chat wıth the new Doctor. I asked the questıon about regısterıng wıth hım. The answer is:- If you have a Nufus/Ikamet number 99................. you can go and see him and he will treat you for minor ailments (Colds, flu ,blood pressure checks etc) NO CHARGE. However any medication he prescribes wıll be charge at full cost at the pharmacy. If your ailment requires you to be referred to hospital you wiil be charged full rate to see hospital doctor and any medıcation you will require. Also any inpatient charges are at full cost. Hope this helps.
