Title: Cicek,severe flooding.
Post by: micky mouse on January 25, 2012, 20:55:32 PM
I have just been on the phone to my friend on cicek who has now had to vacate his home as his house is under water. He has informed me that the hole site is under water due to the two rivers running though our site have burst there banks.I know that my home has some damage and my lost adjusters will be on site soon.I can also say that many trees are down and that the cafe has been demolished by high winds.I will be recieving an up date within the next 48 hours anb will keep all concerned informed.Fingers crossed that we are all not flooded, sorry to bring you this news as we all love our plkaces in turkey.

On our site we had a concrete structure where we used to have our meetings etc and i have been informed that it has been raised to the ground by high winds. Its a shame because it used to be all lite up at night with coloured lights.I will try to gain as much info as i can over the next few days to keep people on our site informed as i am in constant contact by phone to my friend on our site who is a resident,or should i say used to be as they have had to vacate there property due to flooding.

just an update, mike your house, the water is about a foot away from your rear terrace,
on your side the main problem was the culvert that comes from the main road flooded,so the road that runs adjacent was the river, and flowed across small road bridge, its now going under the bridge,so its not submerged now
few flooded houses on cicek are phil's and mark and jo's area
our house on mavi kent has nearly 4ft of water inside, luckily we were prepaired, and moved out, simon

the water around the tuquaz has subsided now, it was mainly confined to their car park area and the small road in front.we live opposite and have had no problems at all.cicek is much further down the road on lower ground nearer to the sea.

Just a short message to inform all owners on cicek site that all villas on the side opposite the pool area has escaped flooding inside, the water has now receded and only puddles lie on the ground. This information was sent to me by a friend on the pool side who went around the site today to check all the villas on site.Unfortunately his home was not so lucky and was flooded a big thank you to kevin and jo and i hope that they will soon be able to return to there home soon.
