I found these sayings in a turkish phrasebook. The Turkish equivilant of these English sayings literally translate as follows:-
"Well said" in Turkish is "Agzina saglik" - "Health to your Mouth"
"This place is immaculate" in Turkish is "Bal dok de yala" - "Pour honey and lick"
"Whats wrong with me?" in Turkish is "Benim basim kel mi" - "Does my head have a bald spot?"
"He can't do anything right" is "Denize girse kurutur" - "He gets dry if he enters the sea"
"I can't bring myself to say it" is "Delim varmiyor" - "My tongue is not arriving"
AND finally - the best one!! "To put your foot in it /mess up" is Yaragina yan basmak" - "to step sideways on your penis":D:D

Two watermelons cannot be held under one arm
Coffee should be black as hell, strong as death and sweet as love
Two captains will sink the ship
There is darkness at the bottom of a candle
Strech your legs to the length of your blanket
and my own particular favourite
A camel's kick......soft but stunning!
