Title: Ideal For Sending Your UK Tv from Laptop to Telly
Post by: Scunner on November 23, 2011, 16:52:02 PM
This may be interesting for people getting British TV over in Turkey - I know you are there and this is here but if you can get someone to bring one out it's a great gadget for you guys getting British TV via your laptop/computer and wanting to send it to your telly:

...but without having to connect the two with cables.

Dealtastic are doing it at £47.99 (which they claim is 52% off it's rrp of £99.99 - it may or may not sell for that normally, who knows).

Anyway it's here, take a look if you want  ;) :  http://tidd.ly/7cbec8a6

Not sure if this is still valid but if you buy from them, enter deal7 as a discount/voucher code when you purchase and it should give you a further 7% discount

Just be careful with this type of device if you are using wireless or someone else is using wireless in the property as they can cause a lot of interference. I had something like this linked from Sky box to a projector in a different room and whenever it was used the wireless went to pot (regardless of the channel I switched the wireless to). No problem if you are not using wireless.

I think you are perhaps confusing this with the older "video sender" type product - there are no wireless channels for switching to like the old scart senders..?

Has anyone tested one of these yet. I would be interested to know if the audio channels are sent seperately or is there a headphone/audio out socket/jack on them. I have a projector which will accept HDMI and SVGA but the projector only has one speaker, i usually send from computer to projector using SVGA 20m cable from upstairs to down and the sound is from the computers sound card via cables to a 5:1 surround system. Also if there is any loss in sound if sent seperately i.e. out of sync with movie playing - but not too much of a problem as i use GOM Player to play my movies.
