Post by: flower67-2009 on April 11, 2012, 11:10:08 AM
I got married 7 years ago then we moved back to the uk, I have got my Turkish ID (Kimlik Card) which I got from the Turkish Consulate in London, I am now wanting to live back in Turkey permenantly with my children who also have Turkish ID, Will I be able to work legally having my ID card, and would I need to still get residence permit etc or do I not need one, just abit confused as to where I stand -- Any advice / help is appreciated

Thank you :)

If you have a Turkish kimlik card, then you are considered the same as any other Turkish national when you live here.
You will be able to legally work and will not need a resident's permit.

Correct, no work permit or residence required but you need to get yourself registered with the muhtar and nufus mudurlu. Also when starting a job, certain documents would be needed like your ssk registration and criminal record which is very easy to get.
