Slightly off your topic but I found this part very interesting in relation to the 90days in 180 days visa:
The decree also allows foreign nationals who violate visa regulations to obtain residence permits on the condition that they pay the permit fees and legal penalties if they overstayed their visa. The decree notes that the new regulations seek to fend off any possible negative effects the former regulations may be having on the tourism industry. It also states that well-meaning individuals will be protected by the changes. “Foreign nationals who have overstayed their visas or residence permits ... will be noted in official records, albeit for a brief period.

Yes stoop but what exactly does it mean in reality?
-
I think it means if you over stay you 90 day visa allowance that you will be able to stay in Turkey as long as you pay for a residency permit and any fine they impose.
It might not mean much to some but if you forget or need to stay longer for any reason and you are only on a visa, I guess it can now be done legally.

Stoop that is about what I thought but I wonder if it will work out like this at immigration ;)

can anyone tell me where the ministry is please? also has anyone applied for a work permit since they changed application and if so how do you go about it. I was told previously the employer had to apply, is this still the case?
-
Nothing has really changed. You still need the same amount of documents from employer and applicant. The employer or an agent for the employer still needs to do the application. Since the first post went up we have applied for around 160 work permits and the process has not changed.

The significant difference Hellzbellz is that now there are some professions now eligible where as before they weren't and these are listed in the article. OK if you want to be a nanny or a carer.
