Has anyone read the Sun Express? this is reference to the piece about the houses at the Ghost Village being made into villas and and the proposed Hotel. Anyone who stays at Hisaronu will be really mad at what the article is saying about them :D
-
Do they have a Tuesday quiz too?
-
Is it accessible on the interweb?
-
It rings a bell this part of the artical yes, but reading the full article there are more important issues and a petition to sign if you feel the end of Kaya köyü is neigh as we know it.
To find Kaya is now very easy ! Just follow the new motorway style road comparable to the E90 no doubt readying for the influx of tourist busses to the proposed new Hisaronu look Kaya Köyü.
Can it be stopped!

Here we go again.Gossip and hearsay if it's in the papers it must be true. There has been many historical areas restored and turned into tourist destinations around the world without it turning into Blackpool so why do we think this will happen here.Look at Rhodes town as an example lots of restored buildings turned into hotels, bars, shops, restaurants, but no disco's or quad bikes to be seen.If Kaya is done along the same lines than I am all for it.

Agree with Mac, we were there last week again and to be honest, nothing to go for just bits of concrete old houses, lets hope they bring it back to life and preserve it's history.
-
Not gossip or hearsay, and if they get their way and build a big all inclusive it will be sacrilege.
-
There's a save kayakoy Fb group for anyone who wants to join and find the petition. Auction date is 23rd October :(
-
Yes, I signed the petition a long time ago. We love Kaya for the peace and tranquility it is so unique in this area.
Why change it? People visit and stay there because they want a quiet time.
Kayakoy should be left as it is and not be open to commercialisation.

Gossip and hearsay relates to what will be done there not that nothing is happening to Kaya.

Yeah. A bit like Stonehenge. Just a bunch of big old stones stuck in the ground. No fun at all.
-
Total agree Colwyn, all these boring Standing Stones around the U.K should be made into theme parks ;D ;)

Whilst it's a peaceful and tranquil place to visit, and one of our favourites, first and foremost, it is a monument to a significant time in Turkish history.
It should be preserved as such.
