There was a series of these across Yorkshire and NE England a few years back, the offenders were some of those friendly travelling folk who got some decent time at Her Majesty's Pleasure

Looks like they might be out again & in need of cash to pay to get their vans moving again, Steve ;)

Looks like the end for our local bank. There was talk of closing it last year, I can't see it surviving this. The same happened in North Cave last year, the branch never reopened.

Is this the work of some disgruntled HSBC Swiss Private Banking customer, whose had to pay his taxes?
-
It's a hell of a withdrawal, and in cash.
Hamlet could be correct.! ;)

I remember when we were in Bangor N.Ireland visiting Phil's parents and we where down at the chip shop getting a carry out. It was right opposite the Bank. Next day it was on the news that someone with a big digger had pull the whole cash machine out of the front of the bank and taken it away that very evening. We passed the Bank the next day and were amazed at the damage that was caused. This was about 18 years ago, so it is not a new idea. >:( :o

I remember that Jaqui - we were there around that time too, Mr WB's father and stepmother live in Groomsport which isn't far from Bangor.

Know Groomsport well. My Grandfather kept his boat the "Maud" there, named after my Grandmother. Have been to the pubs there quite a few times. Love the coastline along there, down to Bally Walter and all that area.
