Title: Pegasus rentacar
Post by: sue mac on September 14, 2015, 11:26:37 AM
I have been quoted £50 for 4 days car hire with Pegasus via mutlu. This seems very cheap and as much as I like to save a few quid, I don't want to do so at the expense of safety. I've nevrer used Pegasus before and would appreciate any advice or comments. Thank you.

Pegasus are an excellent car hire company i had a brand new car this year for 9 weeks and paid £500 it was delivered to my villa with the plastic still on the seats and with 15 kilometers on the speedo fantastic service and a very, very, good deal,i could not beat that price any where so i highly recommend this company.

We hired a car in April for 9 weeks from Pegasus too, I think it was £600 but it was an automatic, a great car and an excellent deal. We always use them. :D

Also, try Fethiye Lovers for a quote.  We use them every year and have done for the last 8 years.  We always get a good car from them wth a bit of power and their cars have never let us down.  We have a 1600 at the moment which is very good and we are pleased with it.
Fethiye Lovers have their offices in Calis, opposite the Water Park, so very handy.

We used Fethiye Lovers and got a real 'plonker' which died after 3 days :-) must be the luck of the draw.

So, did they give you another car?  need to hear about bit more.. As we have always, in 8 years never had a bad car and we now book a car for around 5 weeks at a time.

We have used Pegasus about 12 times. It is always a good price. Excellent service and twice a brand new car.. They replace their cars on a regular basis.. They meet us at the Dalaman airport and we return the car to their offices which are very close to the aiport.. The driver then drops us and our luggage at Dalaman.. We have a great price from them as we use them for 2 sperate months a year...
The people in our apartments always used them for either transfers or car hire...

Used Pegasus for over 7 years..

Transfers and car hire during our 12 week stays. Mutlu and staff have always been very accommodating.

Never had any major concerns and will continue to use them..

Sue mac IMO GBP50 for 4 days is a good deal!

Footnote: Other transfer car hire companies are available..  :)

We always use Pegasus, all new cars this year don't let the cost put you off, always get a good deal from Mutlu, my niece dropped her purse in one of their cars and only noticed she didn't have it until we were through departures, there was over £ 200  and her cards inside, next thing the driver appeared with a policeman( as the driver's are not allowed through departures).holding up her purse which he had found when he took the car back to the Dalaman office.
So think that says it all about Pegasus

Our neighbour rented from them and the car broke down.  They had a long wait for them to come out.  Unfortunately, the second car broken down too. Before the problems, they were tellng us how cheap the rental was.    As someone said, it is the luck of the drawn.

Jacqui This is what you said earlier today wrt Calis change office !!
I wonder sometimes about these reports. They are not from the person or people who the incident happened to, but from people who say they spoke to people, so rumours really.   Touche !!

No, they are are next door neighbours and we saw the cars.  So no Touche....not rumours.

I've rented twice this year, and have booked another car in October. Always had a good car, good service. No complaints. Hired a car from fethiye lovers about 2 years ago, and had to push start it as battery flat!

My neighbour had to take one of the cars he had back to Pegasus in Dalaman as it was a replacement for one that broke down and it had been pre-booked, so had to go back and get another one.

We have used Pegasus for years for both transfers and hire cars and have never had a problem. Always get a good deal, a good car and a great service. Wouldn't use anybody else.

The way some members of this forum try to push Fethiye Lovers at every opportunity puts me right off them and I wouldn't go near for that sole reason. It's a shame really, there's probably nothing wrong with them, but there is such a thing as too much advertising. It smacks of desperation.

We've used Fethiye lovers many times in the past too, we were very pleased and never had a problem, we knew, and were very fond of Niall, but Pegasus probably stepped in when FL didn't have a free car or something and we've just stayed with their equally good service.  :D

"some members of this forum try to push Fethiye Lovers at every opportunity"?

You make it sound like it's rife - and I bet you can't even back the claim up with 2 members who do.

Perhaps my choice of wording could have been better. Apologies.
My thought on the matter were simply that Sue had asked for reviews of Pegasus, in order to establish whether she had been offered a worthwhile deal. I fail to see how Fethiye Lovers is relevant to that.

ooh who with Kieth?  ;)

I have rented quite a few and do it on price usually. So far not been unlucky and paid £100 for 10 days in May, using the same company last week in October for £10 per day also. I have used Pegasus and would not hesitate to use them again.

I have read a few recommendations on T.A. for this company.  We have not used them, but they get good feedback and they also have automatics, which would tempt me.

However, £14.00 per day this year from the company we use, is hard to beat.   I suppose if it isn't broke, why fix it?

We have used Oscar in the past and have found them very good.

Are going to try Pegasus who deliver and pick up car and are £10 per day.

Cant complain about the £50 car hire....the car wouldn't pull you out of bed to be honest...but it started, it was clean, and it got us from A - B :)  We were impressed by the pick up and drop off arrangements....and I think we will probably hire from them again next year. thanks for all advice.
