Title: four new villas going up
Post by: micky mouse on October 16, 2015, 14:13:55 PM
Just returned from my villa after my third visit this year and last week work started on the four concrete foundations that were sited about four years ago opposite the four yellow painted villas down by the blue bridge where i beleave danky is one of the owners. So it wont be to long before there view out will be blocked out.And i noticed more and more land is being cleared for yet more building.

I though get they'd been ditched it's been so long. I must admit they are very close to the ones opposite.

Yes Jacqui - hence its in this section.

They are somewhere in between Saglik and Cicek. Unfortunately they are right in front of four lovely villas and for me they are far too close.

There are strict regulations about this though - be prepared to kick up a fuss if you feel the foundations are too close, better now than when they are completed

I believe the house must be 3 metres from the garden  boundary and 5 metres from a road boundary.

I’d be interested  in seeing them photos please Mickey
My Turkish neighbour who now lives in Germany has been out there this  week  to make sure that the buildings are to the regulations on the plans it seems they are being built right on the permitted boundary line
i guess it does not work like England where we would have seen building plans Etc..

i am not opposed to change but am opposed to being penned in
we have already lost the views of all the wild life when they filled the lake in next to us for the Hotel staff accommodation
:( :(

I did make a point of going to look at the building works  whilst I was there a couple of weeks ago. I am suprised they even got the go ahead to build as they will look straight into your property.

I had some pictures sent to me the weekend  my wife and I  are gutted when we bought the villa off plan we was told the land behind us would never be built on due to  building regulations not being  allowed as it would be  too close to  us at worst it would end up a park
all bloody Lies of course we was never consulted about planning permission not sure how it works out there but the 1st we new when the base went down

The builder told us when we see him in August that they was to build low level 1 story  chalet type bungalows starting in Oct more bloody lies

Seems like they will be 3 storey buildings and we will loose all our sun & be totally  over looked probably de value the price of my house as well

the wife now is on about selling up  >:( >:(

We've come to expect this in the Ciftlik area after they were supposed to build two sets of semis on a lake behind our house on Saglik and we got a 12/14 apartment block overlooking our house which has now sunk (the apartment block) and is causing our home to flood every winter.

Money talks I'm afraid and the builders are willing to pay to get around any regulations there just might be in place to stop them.

I feel for you I really do. Your villas are lovely and I know they were not cheap.

I too feel sorry for your plight. It's like the Wild West, bunch of cowboys. Good luck.

I am really sorry for your plight Danky,  it is a shame.  I think we all get told that the land near us will not be built on.
i have hear the lady Solicitor advertised on here is very good, perhaps you could have a word with her.  I think she is called Sule, but someone will know.

Feel for you pal - nightmare.

Sorry to hear about what's happened to you.

Regrettably, no solutions from me but there is a wealth of knowledge and information from other CBF members.

I'm merely a twice/thrice a year visitor to Fethiye (when funds allow) but if there's guidance to be found, you're in no better place.

I thought about buying 2 years ago and didn't have your courage/commitment. Still fannying around wondering whether I should.

Best wishes for a positive outcome.

So sorry to hear of this Danky.

My son viewed one of those four villas when we were looking to purchase. He said it would have been his first choice had it been big enough for us. He loved the style and the setting. We drove past only the other day.

If the developers are building within regulations then I feel there's little you can do. The property we bought here in Ovacik, which had just a few farm houses nearby when we viewed it just over 2 years ago, is slowly becoming enveloped in new builds. We still have amazing views and the Babadag side of the house is supposed to be 'orman arazi' and not be built on but we aint holding our breath.

It's gutting but doesn't necessarily mean your property is de-valued. Sule Beder, our avukat, is brilliant but not sure what she could do if the builds are above board.

Might be worth contacting her though, http://www.sulebeder.av.tr/

Unless it's different in Koca Calis then building work should stop at the beginning of May, Danky.

Danky, so sorry to hear of these buildings on your property borders - gut wrenching.

When we chose our villa off plan we were on an unmade road opposite the forest. Our nearest neighbour had a very large plot (and she had sold a part of her land to allow our development). We were told that her remaining garden was her pride and joy and she would never sell any more. Well, times change. She cut her garden in two, sold the half nearest us and there is now a 3 storey villa with pool 3 metres from our border - just about finished.
I've seen photos but will only see it in reality when we come in June. One piece of good fortune is that our Russian neighbours bought an adjoining plot and combined it into their gardens.

With respect, why is it "gut wrenching"?

Firstly it is always best to assume it will happen eventually, and secondly I assume it wasn't gut wrenching when she sold part of her land to allow your place to be built?

Gut wrenching referred to Danky's situation, not ours - just expressing sympathy!

I suppose the point is that you have to just accept that any adjacent land will probably be built on some time. Countless times I was showing customers around new developments and heard other agents telling their customers that land in front or beside was "park area" and could never be built on. Of course it was nearly always total lies, but the customers seemed very happy with that information - they never seemed to question it.

We bought our Apartment last year near the tennis courts near Cenk Bey  hotel. There is empty land adjacent to the tennis courts which apparently is going to be park space. Does anyone know this area and if so have they heard similar?

We have just booked to come out middle of June would one of you lovely local people update me please on this new build, I am really hoping that all work will have stopped by then?

I am aware of building laws for tourism times  but some how think this is not always followed to the letter ?

I am really looking forward to some peace and quite and so have left our 1st visit this year to June to avoid the dust and noise hope this will be the case what do you guys think please !!

Some pictures  would really be appreciated if possible thanks inadvance
Danky
