Title: Easy jet
Post by: BernieTeyze on July 18, 2016, 16:51:19 PM
Hello
Anyone used easyjet please? Is there a bag drop off for terminal1 flights for hold luggage. If so, does anyone know how many days before travel  I can drop them off? Or What you have to  do  : :) ???

From Easyjet's website:

If the flight you have booked leaves London Gatwick before 08.30 you can drop off your hold luggage at the easyJet Bag Drop area from 20:00 until midnight the night before.

So I'm guessing the answer is "no more than 12 hours".

Hi Bernie. Just turn up about 3 hours before flight. Put your case on the scales and scan your boarding pass. If it's 20 kgs or less the machine will print out your luggage label. Attach this to your case and put it on the conveyor at bag drop. (It's facing you). Off you go to enjoy your holidays.

There is always Christmas John ;D

Not quite as straightforward Chris, 32kg x3 20kg x 6. I wanted to drop them off asap, then only be stuck with hand luggage. Spend the day before with family.

Christ woman, what do think happens with them?

Anyway, there are a number of airport operatives called the heavy and outside bag elfs, and they reside in a special hole in the wall somewhere close to check in.  You take your bag to them and they either magic it onto the aircraft or they get a baggage dwarf to carry it through a special tunnel.

  :)

I do hope easyJet know that one of their passengers will be turning up with 216 Kg of hold luggage and have put a bit of extra fuel in the tank.

Aww come on, I, m new to easy jet. I have never booked in beforehand. I, ve just queued before hand at the airline desk a couple hours before.
Colwyn for the flippin price they have charged they best know. The next bit will be to see how much I can fit into the UNLIMITED WEIGHT (WHOOP!)  Cabin baggage. This might be the most expensive 30 £ ticket yet.. ;D :  :) :  :)

I'm relieved BT. I had visions of your plane running out of runway and finishing in the sand trap.

Is Bristol easyjet and automated service now too? (wasn't in April)

Nor in June. We value personal service more in Bristol. Or perhaps we are technologically deprived.

Exeter's all electrizzical as well now.

No airline check in staff at the airport - scan the boarding pass, luggage tag pops out and you put it on the suitcase.

It all seems so simple but it works.

So now they've stopped burning outsider's as witches, they electrocute them instead ?  ;)

No.

All family, since time immemorial, are from Ipplepen (village near Newton Abbot).

Mother's still there - sister Kingsbridge - all others are in Newton Abbot area.

Family tree has very few branches! (Could explain a great deal).

I worked elsewhere for many years but returned to Devon 15 years ago.

Still here....
