Title: Importing a car to Northern Cyprus
Post by: bigtuk on January 31, 2006, 17:06:52 PM
Aplogies if this is the wrong place in the forum and/or if its been answered before but I did a quick search and didn't find anything.

A friend of mine is moving to Northern Cyprus later in the year and is planning to take his new 4x4 with him. I told him about the 6 month rule for mainland Turkey. He was shocked! Does anyone know for certain if this rule applies in Northern Cyprus (or not). Thanks.[?]

the northern side is turkish so i would think rules apply there as turkey
6 months max then out of the country for another 6 months
he will be better off selling and buying new in n cyprus if this so.
let us know how he gets on bigturk.
he could alway phone the conuslate in uk and find out. + transport costs to be taken in to concideration.

Wont work because the chasis and engine number are also noted down on the computer.
