STERLING OR LIRA??

When you go shopping, especially for large items of furniture etc, always ask how mutch is it in Turkish lira. if you don't they will quote Sterling and then do the exchange rate at todays high exchange rate. You are not getting the benefit of the exchange rate the shops are. beware. yes it's me again. ausgal:D

STERLING OR LIRA??

I was in Hisaronu and I was about to buy a T-Shirt(sorry not furniture related LOL)which was priced as being £10. I was quoted 30 lira by the shop owner and calculating at the exchange rate at the time he was overcharging me by 2 lira!

Always take a calculator with you and before you shop make sure you clock the current exchange rate before you purchase so you can stand and barter!
